Afghanistan Grade A Lapis Lazuli Bracelet (baroque beads)

Very beautiful Afghanistan lapis lazuli bracelet, made of polished baroque beads with magnificent deep blue hues.

Lapis lazuli is distinguished by its characteristic blue, sometimes punctuated by small golden pyrite inclusions and lighter areas. Originating from Afghanistan, a major historical region for this stone, this bracelet offers an authentic and naturally unique appearance.

This Afghanistan Grade A lapis lazuli bracelet is made of polished baroque-shaped stones.

Used as an ornamental stone for several millennia, lapis lazuli is particularly appreciated for its color ranging from medium blue to deep blue, sometimes accompanied by golden pyrite inclusions and whitish areas.

The baroque beads have naturally irregular shapes that highlight the different nuances and inclusions of each stone.

With a length of approximately 17 to 18 cm, this elastic bracelet fits wrists measuring approximately 16 to 18 cm. Its weight of approximately 10 g gives it a nice presence while remaining comfortable to wear.

Lapis lazuli can easily be combined with other stones such as rock crystal, amethyst, tiger's eye, or sodalite.

The shapes, patterns, inclusions, and colors may vary from one bracelet to another. Each piece is unique.

Lapis Lazuli Virtues in Lithotherapy

In lithotherapy, lapis lazuli is traditionally associated with communication, self-expression, and self-confidence.

It is believed to symbolically help express thoughts and emotions more easily and promote more sincere communication.

Lapis lazuli is also associated with mental clarity, intuition, and reflection. It is often chosen to accompany meditation or periods requiring more perspective.

It is primarily linked to the throat chakra, traditionally associated with communication and expression, as well as the third eye chakra, associated with intuition and perception.

The properties attributed to stones are derived from lithotherapy traditions and beliefs. They do not replace a diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.

What is Lapis Lazuli?

Unlike some gemstones, lapis lazuli is not a single mineral but a rock composed of several minerals.

Its characteristic blue color primarily comes from lazurite. It may also contain calcite, pyrite, and other minerals.

The small golden metallic inclusions frequently visible in lapis lazuli are usually pyrite. They create a particularly aesthetic contrast with the blue of the stone.

Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli

Afghanistan is one of the most famous historical sources of lapis lazuli.

The deposits in the Badakhshan region have been exploited for several millennia and supplied lapis lazuli to the great civilizations of antiquity.

This stone was notably used to make jewelry, decorative objects, and pigments.

Afghan lapis lazuli remains particularly sought after today for its beautiful blue tones.

A stone used since Antiquity

Lapis lazuli has a particularly ancient history.

It was already used as an ornamental stone several thousand years ago and has notably been found in objects and jewelry from ancient civilizations of the Middle East and Egypt.

Ground into powder, high-quality lapis lazuli was also used to produce the precious natural ultramarine pigment, once particularly sought after by artists.

Naturally unique baroque beads

Baroque beads have irregular shapes, unlike perfectly calibrated round beads.

Each stone can also have a different proportion of blue, light areas, and pyrite inclusions.

These differences are an integral part of natural lapis lazuli.

Each bracelet therefore has a unique combination of shapes, colors, and patterns and may differ slightly from the photographs shown.

Care Instructions

Lapis lazuli requires some precautions. Avoid chemicals, perfumes, household products, and harsh cleaning.

For routine cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth, then immediately dry the stones.

Also avoid prolonged soaking and ultrasonic cleaning.
