Green Ocelot Jasper is found in the region around Purbalingga (Central Java) in Indonesia.
Similar to heliotrope, the green color is caused by iron silicate.
The bright areas of green jasper are caused by the inclusion of volcanic ash.

At its source, Ocelot Jasper is also called Green Tiger Jasper.
Commercially, the name "moss agate" is incorrectly used for Ocelot Jasper.
