Sodalite is one of the rare naturally blue minerals. Its name comes from its composition containing sodium. May be confused with lapis lazuli. Sometimes covered with white streaks of calcite.
The main deposits are located in Brazil, Canada, India, South Africa, Namibia and the USA.
