Raw green tourmaline is a crystal of striking natural vibrancy. This is the same stone that Brazilians call esmeralda brasileira (Brazilian emerald) in the deposits of Minas Gerais. The most beautiful specimens come from Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, and Mozambique.
