Dragon's blood jasper is an intensely red variety of jasper originating from Brazil, characterized by its black or gray vein-like patterns. This stone belongs to the microcrystalline quartz family and is distinguished by its hardness (7 on the Mohs scale), making it a particularly resistant mineral. Dragon's blood jasper exhibits a trigonal crystalline structure and a density of approximately 2.6 g/cm³. Its optical properties include a waxy luster and characteristic opacity. Geologically, this variety forms in hydrothermal and sedimentary environments. The A+ quality indicates a stone of high purity with uniform coloration and few undesirable inclusions. The 5-6mm beads offer an ideal size for jewelry applications.
