South African Tiger's Eye Bracelet A (baroque beads)

Beautiful Tiger's Eye bracelet from South Africa, made of polished baroque stones with magnificent shades of brown, golden yellow, and caramel.

Tiger's eye is particularly recognizable by its superb chatoyant effect, creating luminous bands that seem to move across the surface of the stone. The irregular shapes and natural variations make each bracelet unique.

This grade A South African Tiger's Eye bracelet is composed of natural polished stones in a baroque shape.

Tiger's eye is distinguished by its magnificent tones ranging from deep brown to golden yellow, sometimes with caramel, bronze, or almost black-brown nuances.

Its fibrous structure produces a characteristic optical phenomenon called chatoyancy. When the stones are moved under a light source, brilliant, silky bands seem to glide across their surface, resembling a feline's eye.

The baroque beads have naturally irregular shapes that reinforce the authentic and mineral character of the bracelet. Their different orientation also allows for multiple plays of light when the wrist moves.

With a length of approximately 17 to 18 cm, this elastic bracelet is suitable for wrists measuring approximately 16 to 18 cm. Its light weight of about 7 g makes it particularly comfortable for daily wear.

The shapes, patterns, shades, and intensity of reflections may vary from one stone to another and from one bracelet to another. Each item is unique.

Tiger's Eye Virtues in Lithotherapy

In lithotherapy, Tiger's Eye is traditionally considered one of the main protection stones.

It is symbolically used to help protect against negative influences and promote a sense of security.

Tiger's eye is also traditionally associated with self-confidence, courage, and determination. It is valued for supporting periods when one wishes to overcome hesitations and move forward with more assurance.

It is also associated with grounding and stability, as well as the ability to maintain one's goal despite difficulties encountered.

Tiger's eye is primarily linked to the solar plexus chakra, traditionally associated with willpower, self-confidence, and personal affirmation. It can also be associated with the root chakra for its symbolism of grounding.

The properties attributed to stones come from lithotherapy traditions and beliefs. They do not replace a diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.

What is Tiger's Eye?

Tiger's Eye is a variety of chatoyant quartz exhibiting a characteristic fibrous structure.

Its colors generally combine bands of golden yellow, brown, caramel, and dark brown.

Once properly oriented and polished, these fibrous structures reflect light and produce the spectacular optical effect that gave the stone its name.

Why is Tiger's Eye chatoyant?

Chatoyancy is one of the main characteristics of Tiger's Eye.

The oriented fibrous structure inside the stone reflects light in a particular way. When the stone is moved, a luminous band appears to move across its surface.

This effect resembles the pupil or gaze of a feline, hence the name "Tiger's Eye".

The intensity of chatoyancy naturally varies from one stone to another.

South African Tiger's Eye

South Africa is one of the major historical origins of Tiger's Eye.

South African deposits have supplied significant quantities of this stone, appreciated for its warm colors and chatoyant effects.

Once polished, the fibrous structure fully reveals the magnificent characteristic golden bands that have made Tiger's Eye popular in jewelry.

Tiger's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Bull's Eye

These three stones are closely related and differ mainly in their colors.

Hawk's eye: blue-gray to dark blue shades.
Tiger's eye: golden yellow, caramel, and brown shades.
Bull's eye: red-brown to mahogany shades.

All exhibit a characteristic chatoyant effect.

These three varieties thus allow for the creation of a particularly harmonious collection of bracelets with complementary colors.

Naturally Unique Baroque Beads

Baroque beads have irregular shapes, unlike perfectly calibrated round beads.

This shape is particularly well-suited to tiger's eye, as each stone catches the light from a different angle.

Some beads may have more golden yellow while others will be primarily brown or caramel.

Each bracelet therefore has its own unique combination of shapes, colors, and reflections and may differ slightly from the photographs shown.

Care Tips

Tiger's eye is a relatively resistant stone, but a few precautions can help preserve its polish and luster over time.

Avoid significant impacts and repeated contact with perfumes, chemicals, and household products.

For routine cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth, then carefully dry the stones.

It is also best to remove the bracelet before showering, swimming, or sports activities to preserve its elastic thread.
