Gua Sha are used as massage stones mainly for the face.
In Chinese, Gua Sha means "to scrape" (gua) "fever" - or "illness" - (sha). The treatment involves gently stimulating the points along the meridians to optimize blood and energy circulation through a technique of rubbing the skin with a flat stone.

1. Obsidian is a volcanic rock rich in silica. Different types of obsidian exist, varying due to the rock's chemical composition.
