Cacoxenite is a mineral species composed of hydrated phosphates.
This mineral can be found mainly in amethyst, but also in smoky quartz or simply quartz. Quartz with cacoxene inclusions (cacoxenite) mainly comes from the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil.
