Collection: Pink calcite

Pink calcite is a variety of calcite, a mineral composed primarily of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). It is distinguished by its soft pink color, making it a popular stone in lithotherapy and decoration.

✦ MINERALOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Chemical formula : CaCO₃

  • Crystal system : Trigonal

  • Hardness (Mohs scale) : 3 (relatively soft)

  • Luster : Vitreous to pearly

The pink color is due to the presence of impurities, often manganese or other minerals.
