Collection: Lemon chrysoprase

Lemon chrysoprase , also sometimes called lemon chrysoprase or lemon chrysoprase , is a variety of semi-precious stone belonging to the chalcedony family, just like classic chrysoprase.

🌿 Origin and composition

  • Family : Microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony subgroup)

  • Color : Bright yellow to yellow-green, reminiscent of the color of lemon (hence its name)

  • Specific shade : Unlike classic chrysoprase, which is green to apple-green (due to the presence of nickel), lemon chrysoprase has a paler, lemony shade , sometimes confused with serpentine or other yellow stones.

  • Chemical composition : Silicon dioxide (SiO₂), with inclusions or impurities that give it its color

📍 Geographic origin

  • It is found mainly in Australia , but also in Madagascar , Brazil , Tanzania , and sometimes in South Africa .

  • The lemon variety is rarer than the green chrysoprase.

💎 Physical properties

  • Hardness : 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale

  • Transparency : Translucent to opaque

  • Luster : Vitreous to waxy

🌈 Virtues and benefits (lithotherapy)

In lithotherapy, lemon chrysoprase is associated with positive effects on:

  • Mental clarity and focus

  • Self-confidence

  • Optimism and stress management

  • It would also help stimulate the liver , strengthen the digestive system, and encourage detoxification of the body .

🧼 Maintenance

  • To avoid: prolonged exposure to the sun (risk of loss of color)

  • Cleaning: warm water, soft cloth, no chemicals or salt

  • Recharging: in moonlight or on a quartz cluster

💡 Please note

  • Sometimes some stones sold as "lemon chrysoprase" are actually other minerals such as dyed magnesite or dyed chalcedony . Therefore, it is important to buy from reputable sellers if authenticity is important to you.
