Larvikite is a plutonic igneous rock of Norwegian origin, famous for its bluish metallic reflections, called schiller effects .

Origin : Mainly extracted in Larvik , a town in southern Norway (hence its name).

Rock type : It is a syenite (and not strictly speaking a granite), rich in feldspars.
